Situated on the Town’s Public Safety Campus, shared with the Fire Headquarters and the Training Academy, Medford’s new Police Headquarters includes equitable facilities for female and male staff, a booking and detention area that meets modern policing standards, private and shared work areas, and public meeting space.

Using a detailed matrix of factors including cost, available land, proximity to the surrounding town, and synergy of co-location, a comprehensive evaluation of numerous sites determined that the best location for the replacement station was on the current campus, necessitating site-specific design to accommodate flood-zone mitigation.
